Boot Lust

Well, the first "cold snap" has hit in Texas and I'm glued to every shoe website I can find looking for that perfect pair of boots, preferably in Cognac and maybe a black pair too.  Every girl should have a good pair of boots I say.

Looking forward to tonight and seeing all the neighbor kiddos in their Halloween costumes.  We are being those silly people who dress their animals - yeah, you heard me.  Our dogs have costumes, something I swore I would never EVER do.  I just did it.  I'll be sure to post some pics here later this week along with our Halloween pics too.

This past weekend was really great doing Halloween with our good friends but my 29 year old body can't handle closing the bars down quite as well as my 23 year old body could.  Still recovering and I'm sure I will be the rest of the week.

Off to continue ogling boots.

Miranda Love

Checked #11 off the list.

I love Miranda Lambert.  If you know me, you know that.  Last night I finally got to see her live and I'll say that the obsession has grown - probably by leaps and bounds.  I may have a crush...it's possible.  She's so spunky and fun and bossy and redneck and she's not scared of any of it.  LOVED it!!!  Pistol Annies showed up and rocked it too.  Then to top it off, Randy Rogers Band and Justin Moore were just amazing.  Best concert I've been to in a while, full of hell raising, redneck, good 'ol country boys and girls.  If you haven't seen Miranda live though, go do it - you WON'T regret it.  In my humble opinion, she needs to be nominated for entertainer of the year.

In other news, I've managed to roll my ankle TWICE this weekend within 12 hours of each other - same ankle.  How is it possible that one person can be THIS accident prone?  Hopefully it gets better soon.

The pups are doing good.  Avery goes back to the vet tomorrow to check on his ear infection and to see if he lost weight.  Fingers crossed - we just realized he's been eating Sara's food.  Oops!!

I'm not ready....

Tomorrow marks the ending of a decade.  A decade.  Wow, that's a lot.  Sadly, tomorrow is my last birthday in my twenties.  I think I'm more bummed about turning 29 than I am about turning 30.  We'll see how I feel in a year though.  It's been a great year, a terrible year, a hard year, an extremely rewarding year all wrapped into one.  And in memory of my friend Charisse, I'm making a birthday list of 29 things to do before I turn 30.

Kinda Crazy

I tend to stress easy and I'm trying not to.  Running through the lists of things I need to do to prepare the job I'm at for me leaving, to get ready for my new job, to schedule doctor appointments during my few days off next week, etc.  Needless to say - little stressed out.  Nothing a good hot bath and glass of wine won't fix.

Our new small group starts tonight.  Pretty excited about that too.  We joined a new small group at our church and it meets every Thursday night, young married couples like us.  I'm really excited.  Praying that it goes well, we need good community and some awesome couples to hang out with.  Love our church so it should be awesome.

Back at it...lots to do.  AGH!

Back at it!

This is my last attempt at this.  I always try blogging and I think that I'll keep up with it and never do so here's to hoping this time is different.

News: I got a new job.  Bryan and I have been praying for a while that one of us could make a change to where we could be more financially stable/secure and God answered in a huge way.  We're excited to see where this takes us!  I start on the 26th and couldn't be more excited!

In other news, I wish it would hurry up and get cooler already so me and Bryan can go camping.  I need to be outside, sleeping under the stars, swimming by day, making smores by night.  Come on cooler weather.  We miss you!!
